Oghenemere Edwin Orugbo (aka Inferno) is a popular Nigerian music celebrity who rose to fame in the late 90’s when he released a hit track that placed him on the number one spot on all music and videos charts for up to a year. Along with the great King Sunny Ade, he was the first person to represent Nigeria at the prestigious KORA All Africa Music Award (Most Promising African Artiste category), held in Sun City, South Africa, in 1998; an event during which he had the singular honour to present the Diaspora Award to no other than the legendary American music group, Boyz II Men

Growing up in the Niger-delta, Edwin Orugbo witnessed firsthand, gross pollution of his immediate environment by multinational oil companies. Born and bred in Warri, Delta state, he had both his primary and secondary education in Warri and environs. He later went to Yaba College of Technology, where he bagged a Higher National Diploma, HND, (Upper Credit), in Surveying and Geoinformatics. He would later forward his education at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, where he had both his Post Graduate Diploma (Pgd) and a Masters in Environmental Resources Management.

Due to his passion for a sustainable environment, he worked in various capacities with some Environmental Non-governmental Organisations, (NGO’s) before joining forces with others to start the Society for Planet and Prosperity (SPP)

He is a Scholar, Novelist and an Environmental activist who has travelled widely within Europe and Africa. He is married and currently leaves with his family in Abuja, Nigeria.
