Ayodeji Samuel Omilabu

Ayodeji Samuel Omilabu is a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Nigeria, specializing in Environmental Policy, Governance, and Solid Waste Management. His research explores the intersection of climate change, environmental governance, conflict, and security in Africa.

With a background in Public Administration and International Administration, Ayodeji has developed expertise in climate governance, youth mobilization, environmental policy implementation, and sustainable solid waste management. He is a World Bank-trained professional in solid waste management and has consulted for UNICEF and UNESCO on youth mobilization for climate action.

Ayodeji serves as Administrative Director, Plogging Nigeria and has initiated several environmental awareness initiatives, including the establishment of Plogging Nigeria Community at the University of Nigeria. He collaborates with organizations like the Eleven Eleven Twelve Foundation, NGYouthSDGs, the German Mission in Nigeria, and the Swedish Embassy to advance environmental sustainability and climate action in Nigeria and beyond.
